TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Feeling Unwell

If you are feeling unwell, please do not attend your appointment. Contact us as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule. If you are unsure whether osteopathic treatment or prescribed exercises are appropriate, we recommend consulting your GP prior to your appointment.

Lateness

Please arrive a few minutes early to your appointment out of consideration for your practitioner and other patients. Late arrivals may result in a shortened treatment session to avoid delaying subsequent appointments.

Cancellations & No-Shows

Late cancellations and no-shows significantly impact contracting practitioners and prevent other patients from accessing care. Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.

Cancellations or reschedules made within 24 hours of the appointment time may incur a cancellation fee. Late arrivals will be treated for the remaining appointment time only.

Patients Under 18

Patients under the age of 18 require consent from a parent or legal guardian to receive treatment. A chaperone aged 18 or over may be recommended depending on the circumstances.

Consent to Treatment

By attending an appointment, you consent to osteopathic assessment and treatment. You acknowledge that treatment outcomes cannot be guaranteed and that all procedures will be explained prior to commencement.

Scope & Limitations of Osteopathy

Osteopathic treatment is not a substitute for medical care. Diagnosis, investigations, or prescriptions outside the scope of osteopathy will be referred to your GP or another appropriate healthcare provider.

Privacy & Confidentiality

All personal and health information is kept confidential and managed in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. Information may be shared with other healthcare providers only with your consent or where legally required.

Payments

Payment is required within 48 hours of receiving treatment. EFTPOS is available at reception. For online payments, invoices are issued immediately following your appointment. Please contact us if you experience any difficulties with payment.

Outstanding Balances

Accounts with outstanding balances beyond 48 hours may be restricted from booking further appointments until payment is received in full. Please ensure all balances are settled within the required timeframe.

ACC & Insurance

Where applicable, ACC claims will be lodged on your behalf. Any portion not covered by ACC remains the responsibility of the client.

Fee Changes

Fees are subject to change. Clients will be informed of any pricing changes prior to treatment.

Communication Policy

Appointment reminders and clinic communication may be sent via email or SMS. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure contact details are up to date.

Right to Refuse or Cease Treatment

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if it is deemed unsafe, inappropriate, or if clinic policies are not respected.
